Eliana Re was born in Rome in 1960.

She graduated at the Istituto magistrale G. Carducci in Rome.

She studies Philosophy at La Sapienza University in Rome, but the desire to experiment with

any kind of material to give it new life and colour is very strong in her.

She attends a ceramics course and this reveals her immense passion for art.

In 1980, she left university to open a ceramics workshop in Rome and devote herself to

painting on ceramics and porcelain. The ten years she spent in her workshop enabled her to

learn all the techniques of working with ceramics and porcelain, which she did not hesitate to

expand with experiments and customisations, later starting to teach these disciplines.

In 1990, he moved to Palestrina. He began painting on canvas, and his painting is constantly

evolving: after a formal and realist beginning, his style evolves, transcending into a strong

and often dramatic expressionism. With time, the forms in his works lose their contours,

changing into non-forms, finally yielding to informal experiments.

In 2005, she produced the oil painting series 'The Messages of Colour' with a critical text by

Paolo Levi.

In 2006 she was chosen by Vittorio Sgarbi for the book "I giudizi di Sgarbi.- 99 artisti dai cataloghi d'Arte e dintorni"

(Sgarbi's judgments - 99 artists from art catalogues and surroundings, T.N. ) - G. Mondadori publisher.

In 2008, she was included in the Art Series "Selezioni d'Arte" ( Art Selections, T.N. ) edited by

Paolo Levi - ELEDE Publisher - in partnership with Meeting Art Auction House in Vercelli.

During these years, Eliana Re's artistic research and experimentation intensified and led her

to create sculptures in jute, molecular cement and bronze castings. Her first installations

were born.

In 2010, she founded the Proactive Art Movement - Map 13 and subscribed to its Manifesto.

Map 13 claims that the whole is in everything and everything is connected. For the Map 13

Movement, artists already have the vision of the visible and invisible world within

themselves, they must therefore, with inner strength and through their art, recognise and

express it.

For Map 13, she created a new series of paintings, terracotta sculptures and installations.

In 2011, she was chosen and included in Rosario Pinto's book 'Tra tradizione e innovazione.

. In 2011, the works of Map 13 were presented at the Museo Civico "Sciortino" in Monreale

(PA) with a catalogue for the museum edited by Paolo Levi. Eliana Re's work 'La passione

solleva' (Passion excites, T.N. ) was acquired by the Sciortino Civic Museum of Monreale (Pa).

In 2012, she created a new series of works entitled 'Atto proattivo' (

Proactive Act, T.N.) ,

which she presented with Map 13 at an exhibition event at Palazzo D'Accursio in Bologna.

In 2016, the Map 13 Movement was dissolved and the artist stayed away from the art world

for a long time. During this period of reflection, she became passionate about holistic

studies, the practice of Zhineng qigong and political life.

Soon, her passion for art re-emerged, because as Eliana Re states, "it is true that art cannot

change the world, but it can help us to redesign it.
